As a brief overview of resources and databases that were mentioned during our library visit, these sources can get you started when doing library research. The most important is the Remote-Access Portal, which allows you to do research from anywhere off campus. Just type in your USC username and password (the same ones you use for your email), and you'll have access to a variety of library databases. For example, if you want to access full journal texts, click on that link after logging in. From there, you can look up journals alphabetically, or look through the databases directory.
FIAF is a good database to use if you're looking up articles from the past thirty years. I've also found JSTOR to be helpful when looking for academic journal articles. Yet another database mentioned during the library visit is the Film & Television Literature Index . Just make sure you're logged into Remote Access when accessing these databases.
